More fun ways to play Elements
Note that these formats are barely tested, so you're stepping into experimental territory...
Quickdraw
There are no rounds. Instead, each player takes turns until the game ends. Each turn, players may perform one of four actions:
Eternal
If a player runs out of life, they do not lose. They can still win by reaching 30 gems (instead of 20) and cast spells as normal. They cannot heal or counter.
Mystic Tide
When you cast a water spell, you may instead draw a card. Countered water spells do not draw the card, and the spell still has the same power.
Blaze
Players take 2 damage and gain 2 gems each turn.
Telepathy
Cards are always revealed.
Trade
Players can trade one card per round during their turns. Players can lie about which cards they trade, and trade face-down.
Draft
During selection, players take 1 card and pass the rest, and repeat this until each player has 4 cards.
Deck Builder
Deal 10 cards to each player. Players draft those cards (see above). Players have their own 10 card deck that they draw from during the game.
Solitaire
Battle against the deck by randomly selecting cards to pass and cards to attempt to play. If the deck attempts to cast an electric spell, discard it. If the deck casts a spell that can have different targets, it choses to heal itself, gain gems for itself, and damage the opponent. The deck has 80 life and you need 80 gems to win.
The Thinker
The Thinker is a two player format with revealed cards. One player (determined randomly before the game starts) picks 4 of 8 revealed cards for their hand and the other player gets the remaining 4 and goes first. Alternate who goes first each round.
